BEN

Ben has plenty of power but is very gentle with his stock with a naturally steady pace. He is an excellent dog at lambing time where he shows patience with the lambs but will stand his ground with the ewes.   Ben is stylish when he chooses to be, but often gets bored with only a few sheep or with dog broke sheep.   Ben is now retired.  Ben was the first dog I trained to open level and his trialing achievements were seriously curtailed by my inexperience and his bad hips but he is still the most intelligent worker I have ever interacted with.
