Mommas, don't let your babies grow up to be lambchops

If you are out in the fields or the barn in the morning and catch Raven unawares you will often hear her singing songs to the sheep.  This year she has a new one that we thought we would share. It is sung to the tune of "Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys" , original lyrics by Ed and Patsy Bruce and sung by Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson

"Mommas, don't let your babies grow up to be lambchops!
Don't let 'em be entrees and lunches and snacks,
Make 'em be blankets and sweaters and slacks!

"Mommas, don't let your babies grow up to be lambchops!
They'll be in someone's belly, Served up with mint jelly,
And you'll have no lambie to love!"
