For my money this is THE guide for anyone looking to grow vegetables for their own consumption or commercially on relatively small acreage. Mr. Coleman does have some very strong opinions on the right way to do things (i.e. pest control) but even if you disagree with him (which I don't) on these issues this is still the most useful hands on guide that I have seen. It is the kind of book that is easy to just sit down and read but it is also a very useful reference when you just want to look up some tidbit of information or a simple how too.
